Lilith
Lilith is a mythological figure with origins in Jewish folklore, often depicted as Adam’s first wife who was created from the same earth as him rather than from his rib, as Eve was. She is known for refusing to submit to Adam, asserting her independence, and ultimately fleeing the Garden of Eden to dwell in the wilderness, where she was said to consort with demons. Over time, Lilith’s legend evolved, portraying her as a night-dwelling spirit, a seductress, and a bringer of misfortune, particularly feared for harming infants and pregnant women. Set in the untamed, liminal spaces beyond civilization, her myth embodies themes of rebellion, feminine power, and the fear of the unknown, making her a complex and enduring figure in folklore and occult traditions.
The Build
Mythic #6 Lilith is a high-performance chef’s knife, crafted from stainless super steel to be the ultimate workhorse in the kitchen. Designed as a gyuto-style hybrid with a western influence, it merges sleek, modern aesthetics with a traditional Japanese body. Built for speed and precision, it’s lightweight, perfectly balanced, and features a convex edge to reduce friction for effortless cutting. This is the first Mythic to include a Saya and the first in the series where the primary artwork is not on the blade itself. The handle is crafted from heavily spalted maple burl, showcasing a unique, aged figure that adds both character and distinction. Lilith is a fast-paced, get-it-done kind of knife—built to perform, designed to last.
